Education, as in any country, is vital. Children in the classroom today will be running their country tomorrow.

The children regard the opportunity to learn as a privilege. Discipline is self imposed, text books are willingly shared and they help each other.

The five part trained teachers are dedicated to the children and give much more of their time than is asked of them.

The children love their school. Many walk as much as five miles to attend, whatever the weather. Learning is a serious business, but so is laughter and football!

The school is now recognised by the Ministry of Education and uses the official Gambian curriculum. There are 350
pupils - and the number is growing. All will have a better chance of earning a living.

All will have learned much beyond the curriculum – what is right and wrong, how to behave towards others, to be
responsible and to play their part in their society.

The Foundation hopes to be able extend the school building so that more children can attend.
